Punned (and rhymed) haiku
Rabbit meat tastes good:
The next time you have a meal,
That's a thought for food.
Warm was the applause
When the author announced plans
For a wordy cause.
In a fiendish way,
Ghosts play tricks on each other
On April Ghouls' Day.
In the name of fun,
The Boy Cannon's friends call him
A son of a gun.
Just before sundown
The tan-seeking star became
The Toast of the Town.
Make a sausage roll:
Simply push it down a slope
When you take a stroll.
A bird likes to roam,
But at day's end its warm nest
Is still home, tweet home.
Space tourist Dick Brown
Reads the new Grisham thriller
And can't put it down!
Resting on a rock,
The zoo's alligator sang,
"Rock Around the Crock"!
With a tearful face,
The astronaut called his wife:
"Dear, I need more space."
