untitled
Punned (And Rhymed) Haiku
Spices my guest brings;
The card on the packet says,
"Seasonings Greetings".
The cold tombstone read:
"Hare Today, Gone Tomorrow."
My rabbit is dead.
Food for thought, to wit:
Everyone calls money "dough"
Because we "knead" it!
Horatio the Horse
Invited all his neigh-bours
To the new racecourse.
If I wash my vest,
Will it be completely clean?
Let's soap for the best!
"I'm one of the best,"
Sang the happy mosquito.
"I've passed the screen test!"
Though it tried to learn,
The sheep failed its driving test
With a bad ewe-turn.
Grandmaster Chekhov
Taught me how to be happy,
Taking a knight off.
He heard a ghost speak,
"Let's play my favourite game;
It's called Hide and Shriek."
